iPhone to use Bing?

It is reported that iPhone may replace Google with Bing on their next generation of iPhone. It is said that being the default Web search engine on the iPhone carries financial benefits for Google, which collects money from advertising placed alongside search results and shares it with Apple. Google's new smartphone Nexus One (as potential direct rival to iPhone) seems to be one of the reason for these two giants to split ways.

If it's true that Bing will replace Google on iPhone then users will need to adjust their way to search the web. While this story is getting louder it is still unclear whether iPhone will also remove services like Google Maps and YouTube from their default application as those own by Google.

In my opinion this is a big step from Google as they want to be taken seriously in mobile industry. With Android, Chrome, and now Nexus One they want to show the world that they can be the leader too in this market.
