iPad, Boom or Doom?

Steve Jobs presented the long-rumored tablet device from Apple last night and it called iPad. The new tablet will be available in March and starts at $499. It is a half an inch thick and has a 9.7-inch touchpad screen. It uses internal flash memory instead of a hard drive, which enables it to be smaller. The iPad will be available in 16 gigabyte, 32 GB or 64 GB versions priced from $499-$699 with built-in Wi-Fi. Some models will offer 3G wireless access. Those will be priced from $629-$829. An limited data plan from AT&T costs $29.99 a month with no contract commitment, including use of AT&T...

iPhone to use Bing?

It is reported that iPhone may replace Google with Bing on their next generation of iPhone. It is said that being the default Web search engine on the iPhone carries financial benefits for Google, which collects money from advertising placed alongside search results and shares it with Apple. Google's new smartphone Nexus One (as potential direct rival to iPhone) seems to be one of the reason for these two giants to split ways. If it's true that Bing will replace Google on iPhone then users will need to adjust their way to search the web. While this story is getting louder it is still unclear whether...

Google Storage, anyone?

The Official Google Blog and the Official Google Docs Blog have announced 1GB of free online storage for files that you are not obliged to convert it into one of the not-quite-Office-compatible Google Docs formats (ie Google documents, spreadsheets, and presentations). This is as the same as the amount of space GMail offered at launch and this is way lower than what Microsoft offers with their Windows Live SkyDrive . Of course like the blog said that we can add more spaces with "only" $0.25 per year for an extra gigabyte but it's still way long to go to match 25 GB. The synchronization...

New Travel Trend: Travel 2.0

Web 2.0, a phrase coined by O'Reilly Media in 2003[1] and popularized by the first Web 2.0 conference in 2004, refers to a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services — such as social-networking sites, wikis and folksonomies — which facilitate collaboration and sharing between users. It does not refer to an update to Web technical specifications, but to changes in the ways systems developers have used the web platform. This term is so popular that everyone want to use it. The increasing use of blogs, wikis, and of course social networking sites has led people...

GraffitiCMS is now Open Source

Graffiti makes publishing simple and easy, that’s what the website says. Well, I can’t argue with that. I’ve been using Graffiti since its beta time and it is one of my favorite CMS to date. It is very easy to use even for people with no programming background. For developers and designers, Graffiti is the place to play as it easy to theme and extend. But the story is not always happy, due to some problems forced Telligent (the company who created Graffiti) to business strategy and graffiti was no longer part of their strategy. This is a serious problem for those who already loved...
